Purge of Opportunity?
I’m going to attempt to connect two separate situations:
1. New York doesn’t have an image as a startup-friently city. It’s seen as being dominated by large financial institutions, Wall Street, and traditional media.
2. The finance industry is going through a massive purge. Huge finance companies are going down left and right, leaving lots of talented New Yorkers reeling.

For a long time, I felt it’d be great to have a way to put out small messages that were too large to tweet, but not so elaborate and well-written as to go onto a full-fledged blog.
Then I found Tumblr.
I want to eventually have a more serious “real” blog for my thoughts on coworking and the greater shift in the workplace and all that, but for now this will serve as a stopgap...
